Yesterday as I was driving to Port Angeles I heard on the radio that there was a debate for the Governor's race that night. I was saddened to find out that this was the 3rd debate, which was news to me since I had heard nothing of the two previous debates. After I arrived at my hotel room I started checking the channels at 6:00 p.m. and then 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00 then I gave up.
What a shame that the most important election race in our state is not getting any television coverage for the debates. I asked an attorney today about it and he said it was on Channel 9. This is something of importance and should not be hidden on some PBS station that many people don't ever click onto, and a channel not likely to be in my hotels as they have limited channels to begin with.
What is even worse is that I listen to the radio and watch local channels quite often during the week and I never heard of the first two debates. What a pathetic job of promoting the debates.
