Great Day of play

Well, I made my second final table in about a week in the Stars $20 180 SNG. I finished 5th. It was a shame really. I had AT of diamonds and was called by one of the loosest raisers/callers in history. Unfortunately he had lucked into a big stack and called off about a 1/3 of his stack calling me, maybe 25% with 33. I was a slight favorite going in, but I missed the board and lost. It would have been really nice to double through him.

He was a huge chip leader with 4 people left and ended up finishing 3rd. Some people just don't know how to change their playing styles. He never slowed down. He put a guy all-in that had raised, and his A9 was no good against AA, and then about 4 hands later he called off all his chips with K9 against AK and was out 3rd. Oh, how I wish I had that stack that he had. I would have finished no worse than 2nd I think.

I played as many $20 SNGs today to see how much money I could make if I played them all day. I was doing a little experiment. I wanted to play 10, but I only got in 7, keeping in mind though the 180 man tourney took a bunch of time and I kept my concentration on it towards the end so I didn't play multiple tourneys at a time. I ended up with two Firsts and one Third.

All in all this was my most successful day playing poker. I can't help but think that there will be a lot better and bigger paydays ahead, and my ALL IN magazine came so that is pretty cool as well.
